MY INSTAGRAM I started my Instagram in 2017 when I was doing a show about my best friend David Burns, who had died of AIDS, so I had a ton of old photos I’d dug out for the show and I just started posting them. It was unintentional at first, but then I decided to make my IG about the past, my past and my friends’ past. I used mostly my old pictures, which I honestly barely remember taking, but also those of friends like Patrick McMullan, Christopher Makos and others, always credited when I can. It’s become a bit of a time capsule of a period before, during and just after AIDS. I want it to show how much fun we had and also highlight some wonderful friends who never got to finish living their amazing lives.
