Dear Friends of “David’s Friend”,
I can’t thank you enough for the love and support you’ve offered me for this show, which is still so close to my heart. Since it’s initial successful run at LaMama three years ago, I’ve performed it in multiple venues in New York City, Los Angeles and Ptown, Seattle, Philadelphia, Hudson NY and soon Asheville, NC. I am as passionate about it now as I was when I first conceived it, and it has received positive feedback from critics and audiences alike.

"Her odyssey will bring alive the period and its pleasures (and poisons) with pungent animation”
Charles Isherwood, The New York Times

"The show delivered on all fronts -- it's funny, it's nostalgic, it's touching, it's poignant and it's smart.”
    Kenneth in the 212

"The beauty of 'David’s Friend' is, you didn’t have to be there. Burns was, and she brings it alive for the rest of us.
    Marc Miller, NY Theatre Guide

It has long been a goal of mine to do a professional filming of it and now my dear and talented friends, filmmakers P. David Ebersole and Todd Hughes (House of Cardin, Room 237, Mansfield 66/67) have offered to film it in LA on March 3rd, but I need your support. While they are donating their time, the cost of a professional filming will be close to $10,000 (They will actually be filming the show twice in front of an audience and editing it together).

Our plan is to submit this film to film festivals and also shop it around to various cable networks. Here is where you come in. I need your support and I hope you will consider helping me raise the money we need.
